Dr. Jonathan Horwitz is a board‑certified gastroenterologist who enjoys the variety of endoscopic procedures, the complexity of GI disease, and the long‑term patient relationships his specialty offers. Born in Skokie, Illinois, and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, he earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, where he later served as Chief Resident, Hospitalist, and Clinical Instructor for Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Horwitz is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He lives in Kansas City with his wife and two children and enjoys traveling, sports, movies, and outdoor activities.
