Dr. Syed Mobashshir Alam is a board‑certified internist and gastroenterologist with a focus on foregut conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine. He values the blend of diagnostic insight and hands‑on therapeutic benefit that gastroenterology offers, particularly through endoscopy. Dr. Alam completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of New Mexico, his internal medicine residency at Creighton University, and his combined BA/MD through the accelerated six‑year program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He has received several research honors, including recognition at Digestive Disease Week and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, basketball, history, astronomy, weightlifting, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his family.
