Dr. Thomas Shireman is a board‑certified gastroenterologist and internist with a strong background in academic medicine and medical leadership. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. He later joined the University of Oklahoma faculty and subsequently entered private practice in the Oklahoma City area, where he served as Chief of Staff at Midwest City Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shireman is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He values the opportunity to help patients and has long been drawn to medicine through his interest in science and health.
